A Lookback at Overload NZ 2024!

A few weeks ago, the Overload NZ convention took place in New Zealand. Just like last year, the talented artist Oscar Fong, the fongfumaster himself, attended the massive convention. Oscar is renowned for his work on the MMWOG series. We covered last year’s event as well—be sure to check out our blog post HERE!

The Overload NZ convention is a celebration of all things anime and manga. It attracts guests from around the world who come to enjoy and participate in various activities, including cosplay competitions, performances, art exhibitions, itasha displays, and shopping for authentic collectible goodies. This wasn’t Oscar’s first time at the convention, so he knew what to expect and was ready for the fun.

After the convention, we had the chance to chat with Oscar about his experience this year. Here’s what he had to say:

“OverloadNZ is always a great event with a awesome community that continues to grow each year! I had the pleasure and honour of creating some cool promotional content for this year’s event and hope to feature more art and comics next year. Also super stoked they featured my art on the lanyards!”

You heard it here folks this year was a great success, and we can’t wait to make an appearance again next year! How about you guys? did anyone get to attend Overload NZ? if so what was your favorite part? Let us know in the comments down below!
