Clock Striker Shines in YALSA’s #GGN2024 Nominations on The Hub!

We’re thrilled to share that Clock Striker has been featured on YALSA’s blog, The Hub, as part of their Great Graphic Novels (#GGN2024) Nominations Round-Up for the Fall! This recognition is an incredible honor for us at Saturday AM, and we’re excited to see our work alongside other outstanding graphic novels.

In the words of Frederick L. Jones, Founder and CEO of Saturday AM and creator/writer of Clock Striker,

“Everyone at Saturday AM is beyond honored to even be nominated for a YALSA award! The idea with CLOCK STRIKER was always to take the hottest medium in manga and show that BLACK GIRLS could be every bit as heroic, funny, charming, and smart as any other character in an action-fantasy. For my artist, Issaka Galadima, who is an engineer by day, it’s especially nice to have folks embrace our story and our love of science as much as the heroine Cast does.”

Clock Striker, a project driven by passion and diversity, challenges norms with a Black female protagonist, celebrating the power of representation in manga.

Clock Striker’s presence on YALSA’s The Hub inspires us to continue breaking new ground in storytelling and representation. Check out the full list of nominations on The Hub RIGHT  HERE and stay tuned for more exciting updates from Clock Striker!
