According to Psychology studies, the mind could be divided into three systems: the conscious, the subconscious, and the unconscious mind. Each of them fulfills a specific purpose, allowing the human brain to function normally, building our sense of individuality, constructing our perception of reality and, y’know, all that other confusing stuff.
However, what if ‘Conscious’, ‘Subconscious’ and ‘Unconscious’ were more than just terms coined by Psychology experts?
What if they were not highly theoretical, speculative, and disputable concepts?
What if they were… entire dimensions full of exotic planets, wild life forms, time travel and action-packed adventures?
Welcome to the first in a series of blog posts that will introduce and guide you into the Omniconscious – the universe of Comatose.
An Overview Of The Omniconscious

Jack Phoenix
Comatose follows the story of Jack Phoenix, who leads a tumultuous life, gets bullied at school and struggles with his own adolescent issues. Haunted by painful memories, he wallows in his own fears and solitude. However, the nightmares truly begin when Jack notices that reality seems to be slowly changing around him.
‘Reality’ in Comatose is a flimsy and relative concept, dictated by the universe – or the Omniconscious. But how exactly does the Omniconscious work, and what are its rules? Let’s take you through a quick summary.
The Omniconscious consists of three essential layers:

The three levels of the OMNICONSCIOUS
The Unconscious Realm: The outermost layer of the Omniconscious. An infinite number of parallel dimensions and the source of all possible realities.
The Conscious Realm: The definitive version of reality, where all possibilities from the Unconscious converge.
The Subconscious Realm: The innermost layer of the Omniconscious, containing residual information from the Conscious.
Jack Phoenix exists in the Conscious, where everything – including himself – represents the perfect version of reality– where every person lives out their life completely oblivious of the grand scheme of the universe. What does it mean for Jack, then, if reality is in fact changing before his eyes? How does it affect his state of mind, and what is really on his mind?
Although many questions are still left unanswered, it is certain that Jack Phoenix has gotten entangled with forces far beyond his comprehension – forces strong enough to tear at the very fabric of reality. It is all uphill from here on out.
