This past week Founder and Publisher of Saturday AM, Frederick L. Jones, attended library con – a day-long celebration of fandom, spotlighting genre fiction for adults and teens with panels devoted to comics and graphic novels, horror, sf/fantasy, and more. sponsored by Library Pass
The panel was comprised of, Guy LeCharles Gonzalez of LibraryPass, Kae Winters of TOKYOPOP, Deb Aoki of Mangasplaining, and our very own Frederick Jones, of Saturday AM.
They spoke on a number of topics including: what sparked each individual speakers interest in manga, the IMPORTANCE of representation in manga, and the history of manga’s rise in popularity outside of Japan.
