We’ve got another successful NC Comicon to add to the books! The energy was high, the fans showed up, and we had to run it back one more time for everyone in the North Carolina area.
This time, the one-and-only Frederick L. Jones held it down solo — and even riding solo, he brought some massive announcements with him. The biggest? The long-awaited return of our sister magazine, Saturday PM.

With Issue #1 launching in January 2026, Saturday PM is coming back stronger than ever with three exclusive, diverse seinen manga series debuting right out the gate:
• UNDERGROUND — the award-winning series by John-Raymond De Bard returns with brand-new chapters.
• GUN + BONE — a gritty new supernatural action series from Erick Pedrucci Andre.
• FAN X BOY — a fresh supervillain crime manga by CLOCK STRIKER creator Frederick L. Jones in collaboration with Frank Simmonds.
And that’s not all.
We’ve got even more manga arriving from three additional countries in the months that follow — and we’ll be revealing them soon. But the biggest surprise?
How YOU will get to enjoy monthly Saturday PM.
We can’t say anything just yet… but trust us, it’s big.
Frederick shared his thoughts on the show and the significance of events like NC Comicon:
“Really enjoyed this show!
Incredible weather (usually it’s F R E E Z I N G at nighttime during the show) and given that my hometown of Durham, NC (as part of RDU) is home to some of the most educated African Americans in the USA in a per capita area — it’s extremely nice to see a show that not only welcomes everyone to unite around geek culture, but that some young kids are witnessing Black creators and leadership as not only inspiration but as normal. This is why I started MyFutprint Entertainment, LLC — to be a manga brand for everyone. Being Black-owned does not mean being a “Black company,” but being a company that competes with EVERYONE while offering a unique perspective at the executive level.
Saturday AM has big plans, and working with comic shops like ULTIMATE COMICS, as well as shows like NC COMICON, is a huge part of our 2026 and beyond strategy.”

We had an incredible time connecting with fans, celebrating indie manga, and giving everyone a taste of what’s coming next.
We can’t wait to be back at NC Comicon next year. See you then!
